Max Barber is a Film-maker, broadcast Edit Producer and Adobe Premiere Pro Editor.
Based in London, Max had beginnings and an education in drama & theatre, then extensive training at The London Film School. This led to a career currently spanning 20 years in television making factual entertainment, documentaries, features and reality TV for a range of UK & global broadcasters including BBC, Channel 4, MTV, Channel 5, Discovery Networks & National Geographic.
Max is also an award-winning independent filmmaker and has explored subjects as varied as human rights, sexuality, pornography, gender identity and disability through his work in scripted fiction and authored documentaries. His highly topical films have been screened at numerous international film festivals and distributed in the US & Europe through TLA Releasing, GAYBingeTV, REVRY, MTV Logo, CFMDC, Peccadillo Pictures, Channel 4 & Amazon Prime.
Max has also been editing on Adobe Premier Pro for 10 years on short-form comedy, web, pilots, promos, show-reels and social media campaigns.
Max also works in location producing, scouting and management for high-end TV drama, commercials screened on TV, cinema and online. Clients & brands include: BBC Studios, Halifax, Debenhams, Barclaycard & The National Theatre.
