Based in London, Max Barber had beginnings and an education in drama & theatre, then extensive training at The London Film School. This led to a career currently spanning 20 years as a producer, director & edit producer. He has made factual entertainment, documentaries, features and reality TV for a range of UK & global broadcasters including BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, Discovery Networks & National Geographic.
Max is also an award-winning independent filmmaker and has explored subjects as varied as human rights, sexuality, pornography, gender identity and disability through his work in scripted fiction and authored documentaries. His highly topical films have been screened at numerous international film festivals and distributed in the US & Europe though TLA Releasing, MTV Logo, CFMDC, Peccadillo Pictures, Channel 4 & Amazon Prime.

In addition, he is also the founder and administrator on Facebook for LGBT Film Makers & UK Disability Film Makers in a drive to nurture and collaborate with diverse talent.
And if all of that doesn’t keep him busy, he also works in location management on high-end TV commercials.
